CHRYSLER Corporation was founded in 1924 by famous engineer and businessman Walter Chrysler as a result of restructuring of two American companies. Now this corporation manufactures such brands as Chrysler, Dodge, Plimouth, and Eagle and involved in space and electronics. In the year of foundation of the company the first В«Chrysler 70" passenger car with 6-cylinder engine was launched. In 1928 Chrysler has bought Dodge company and took the first position among the largest automotive companies in the U.S. In the same year production of the Plymouth and DeSoto brands was started.

The company began to develop actively by buying shares of European automotive companies, but continue to develop and produce its own successful models. In 1949, Chrysler began to install the system of ignition key start on its cars. In the sixties, Chrysler by overtaking some several European automotive companies opens up a number of his own productions in Europe. Later these productions were joined in the Chrysler Europe. However, in the late seventies, ill-conceived policy of the company leads to a loss of control over the European branch and the threat of bankruptcy. But Lee Iacocca - one of the junior managers of Ford company - saved the situation. Iacocca was simply fired, and he, without thinking twice, switched to competitors and to literally "rescued Chrysler from the arms of deadВ».

In 1987 Lamborghini and American Motors Corporation with its Jeep division were joined to Chrysler. Since 1988 was started production of trucks and pickups of Eagle brand.
