Challenger V6 made by Dodge Recalled because of Risk of Fire
Worried about a short circuit in its V6 model of Dodge Challenger, Chrysler has recalled all its cars built between November 2012 and January 2013. As a precautionary measure, it has asked customers to not drive or park the cars near buildings and return the cars immediately to their dealers. Around 2500 such cars have been sold while another 1900 are lying unsold with dealers. Number of defective cars is estimated at 4459.
According to a report by the company, 7 of these cars have caught fire but no one has been injured in these incidents so far. Chrysler is asking customers to return faulty cars to dealers and encouraging all owners to check if their car is at risk by looking at the label that is there in the door jamb of the driver.
