Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898. His first work was a "C.M.N" company, where he began to work in 1919, and soon he moved to the "FIAT" by test-driver. Since 1929 Enzo Ferrari owes by company Modena, which provided sports activities under the contract with the "Alfa Romeo". "Auto Avio Costruzioni" company was founded in 1939. Although the company manufactured racing cars, it could not participate in sporting events under the "Ferrari" name, because it had contractual obligations to "Alfa Romeo".

The first car that actually bores the "Ferrari" name appeared in 1947. As a label of the company Enzo Ferrari chose the galloping horse on a yellow background. He was able to convince Dzhakino Colombo to "Alfa Romeo" joined him in the development of successful 12 - cylinder engine of his own design. Now racing and sports cars of "Ferrari" brand take an elite position in the world thanks to such famous drivers as Luigi Kinetti, Phil Hill, John Surtees, Mario Andretti and many others.

Models from "166" to "250" and from "340" to "Superamerica" are immortal classics. In 1969 "Societa Esercizio Fabbriche Automobili e Corso Ferrari, Maranello" was merged with "FIAT".
