    Like the Clio, the Captur also gets the Iconic Nav special edition treatment, with a two-tone exterior colour as standard, and the option to choose from six different body colour options, including Diamond Black, Ivory, Cappuccino Brown, Oyster Grey, Stone or Mercury, all paired to either a black, Ivory or Cappuccino roof. Extra equipment over and above the Dynamique S model it is based upon includes Cappuccino coloured part-leather upholstery, heated front seats, a bronze-tinted chrome interior pack, a rear parking camera, auto-dimming rear view mirror, an uprated R-Link Evolution infotainment system and 17-inch alloy wheels with Cappuccino inserts. The Captur Iconic is priced exactly the same as the Signature versions, with prices starting at Ј20,195 for the dCi 90, Ј21,195 for the dCi 90 automatic and Ј20,795 buys the more powerful dCi 110 model. This latest Captur is available to buy at Renault showrooms now.

    Given how popular the scrambler look has become of late, it is of little surprise that Benelli have resurrected the Leoncino name with this scrambler-esque motorbike. This stylised bike even features the lion of Pesaro (Benelli’s home town) on the front mudguard, a throwback to the original bike that bore the same name. Power comes from a totally new liquid-cooled four-valve DOHC 500-cc twin-cylinder engine that has an output rating of 47.6 PS at 8,500 RPM and 45 Nm of maximum twist force at 4,500 RPM. Transmission is, of course, via a six-speed gearbox. The Leoncino’s chassis comprises the trademark Benelli trellis; the front end with 50-mm USD forks while the at the rear there is an offset monoshock with adjustment for spring preload and hydraulic rebound damping. Stopping power comes from a pair of 320-mm dia rotors with radial four-piston callipers and a single 260-mm dia rotor with twin-piston callipers. For those of you who couldn’t go to EICMA, this wonderful looking machine will also grace the Benelli stall at the forthcoming Auto Expo next February according to the company’s top management.

    Undoubtedly the most talked-about and anticipated Ducati to be revealed just a couple of days prior to the official opening of EICMA to the public at large. Named after the launch year of the original Ducati Scrambler from 1962, the Scrambler Sixty2 blends its minimalist style with cutting-edge technology. At the heart of the Scrambler Sixty2 sits a brand-new engine from the Italian motorcycling legend: an air-cooled 399-cc L-twin with Desmodromic distribution and two valves per cylinder. Peak power output is rated at 41 PS at 8,750 RPM and peak torque is 34.6 Nm at 8,000 RPM. Being a Ducati, naturally the frame is a steel trellis affair; 41-mm Showa front forks are telescopic while at the rear sits a Kayaba monoshock with preload adjust. Suspension travel is 150 mm both at the front and at the rear. According to Ducati, while the Scrambler Ducati (the 800-cc version) is aimed at bikers looking for an escape, the Scrambler Sixty2 is meant to appeal to a more youthful audience. The bike should be headed for India soon and will become the most affordable Ducati on sale here. So, folk, it’s time to get those old piggy banks out.
