  • V7 II.

Moto Guzzi launched the new generation of the V7 at EICMA 2015, called V7 II, six years after the re-launch of the iconic motorcycle. Although a classic in its visual appeal, the V7 II is a modern motorcycle loaded with modern technologies. The bike is powered by Moto Guzzi’s new 744-cc air-cooled engine that puts out 48 PS at 6,200 RPM and 60 Nm of maximum torque at a rather low 2,800 RPM. Transmission is via a new six-speed gearbox as opposed to the previous V7’s five-speed unit. The clutch, too, has been improved with better linkages and modifications to the lever and cable in order to achieve a softer action and an even release. The bike should be headed to India soon and, once launched here, should make for an interesting choice in that segment.
  • Speed Triple.

We’ve all seen the videos of the new Speed Triple, we also got to see the bike in the flesh at EICMA 2015. Although the basic cycle parts remain mostly unchanged, the bike now features a brand-new 1,050-cc in-line triple with a new combustion chamber, new piston design, new cylinder-head and a new machined crankshaft. Triumph have also added ride-by-wire technology, a smaller and more efficient radiator, a slipper clutch and a free-flowing exhaust with 70 per cent better flow rate into the mix. The new Speed Triple S and Speed Triple R also feature a suite of rider-focused technology. Among the features that add to the Speed Triple’s performance and capability are a new ECU coupled to a new adjustable ride-by-wire throttle with selectable throttle maps that increase the feel, responsiveness and control. There are now five distinct riding modes to choose from: Road, Rain, Sport, Track and a new Rider Configurable mode, that allows the rider to set up the motorcycle to the optimum performance relative to road conditions or environment.

  • Mini Cooper Countryman ALL4 Dakar Racing Rally Car
Perin was there to guides me around some laps of rally circuit through the Mini was chewing the dune. I used the brakes almost hardly and simply lifting slows the Mini sufficient for most turning. even if I have to brake on the back end gives out nicely for sharper turns than you would expect while driving. As road drivers we all are accustomed to utilize passing light poles and buildings. We pass trees to gauge speed but in minion can have no ref points that you can look at. In one place, Perin told me that we're going at 80 mph. I felt that it was like 40 while the engine sounded like a modern car on the freeway. ...see full review

With three chassis modes, the car operates in Normal, Eco and Sport mode. The experience is not changed much however the car is operating in. In Sport mode, the dampers would be a bit stiffer with throttle response not being sharper. In Normal or Eco, the ride is little floater. Eco make the throttle response dull. ...see full review
