  • Aprilia RSV4 R-FW.

For those who think good just isn’t good enough, Aprilia has released more information on a “Factory Works” program that will enable riders or teams to buy an RSV4 built by the manufacturer’s racing department. While the program is primarily intended to keep Aprilia’s RSV4 on race grids around the world, it is also a chance for (very) serious trackday enthusiasts or collectors to stake their claim on Aprilia Racing Division’s years of hard work and development…for a price, of course. No word just yet on what that price will be, though Aprilia did confirm that the RSV4 R-FW will be made available in five packages (each varying in terms of specification for engine and electronics), with the top packages featuring special electronics systems and an engine with upward of 230 hp. • Life in the old dog yet....

It might not be as light on its feet as its newer rivals, but Yam’s smooth, secure, comfy FJR1300 is still a valid tourer. Updates a couple of years back - multi-function dash, flashy finish, better suspension, high-tech options - added class, and for ’16 there’s more refinement. It’s got a six-speed gearbox at last, for both better acceleration and more relaxed cruising, plus an ‘assist and slipper’ clutch based on the R1’s system. Got LED lights too and a matt silver paint option, plus AE/AS versions have cornering lights.
  • ZZR 1400.

Kawasaki have introduced two revised 2016 ZZR-1400 models featuring upgrades to ensure the machines keep their power and character, whilst complying with Euro 4 regulations. Utilising new settings in the ECU and a revised evaporative and exhaust system, the ZZR meets the latest Euro 4 emission regulations without any drop in the power figures of this 1,441-cc machine.
