Interesting News
  • 690 Duke.

After more than 20 years, KTM have launched the new generation of the 690 Duke. Not only does the 690 Duke house the largest and most powerful singlecylinder engine (73 PS) as of today but also one that complies with strict Euro 4 emission norms. The Austrian firm has added multiple balancers to ensure smoothness in this large-capacity single and has ensured a wider powerband for riding convenience. The 690 Duke also gets a large TFT colour display, on-board computer and ABS as standard kit. There’s no chance of this one coming to India any time soon, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed and praying for a miracle.
  • GD 250R.

The Hyosung GD 250R is the fully faired version of the GD 250N that we had ridden last year. Launched at the EICMA by Hyosung’s management and DSK Motowheels, the GD 250R is powered by an air-cooled 250-cc single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Evidently, the bike is headed to India and, once launched here, should prove itself a compelling purchase proposition for those looking for a fully faired quarterlitre sport bike but want something other than the ageing Honda CBR 250R.
  • NC 750X.

This is the more adventurous form of the regular NC 750, with a tough new look and LED lighting, revised front fork damping, expanded storage compartment plus LCD instruments. Its parallel twin engine is married to Honda’s dual-clutch transmission, which receives three-level ‘S’ mode, plus further software upgrades in both MT and AT riding modes.
