  • FIAT news.

The entry-price for Fiat’s new 500X has come down with the launch of new 94bhp 1.3-litre MultiJet engined versions. Prices now start at Ј16,345 for the Pop 1.3 MultiJet, with the mid-range Pop Star version costing Ј18,095, and the flagship Lounge edition priced at Ј19,845. The new 1.3-litre engine is Ј1,000 cheaper than the 118bhp 1.6-litre version, and introduces the more basic, entry-level Pop specification to the diesel engine range for the first time. But despite the more modest power output, there’s no savings to be made on CO2 emissions, as both engines emit the same figure of 109g/km, and according to official figures, capable of 68.9mpg on the combined cycle. The new 1.3-litre engine is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in the new year.
  • Honda CB Shine SP.

This month seems to be a special one for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) Limited as the company has rolled out a brand-new variant of their best-selling motorcycle, the CB Shine, called the CB Shine SP. The prices for this new variant start at Rs 59,990 (ex-Delhi) and go all the way up to Rs 64,400 (ex-Delhi) for the topend variant. There are changes galore on this new variant which now gets better-looking body panels, stickers and a new paint job. The biggest change, however, lies within the engine. Honda have equipped the bike with a five-speed gearbox which once served the CB Stunner. Read more about the addition of one more cog in our road test review of the SP.
  • Honda CB Hornet 160R.

HMSI recently launched their brand-new motorcycle, the CB Hornet 160R, at an attractive price of Rs 79,990 (ex-showroom). The CB Hornet 160R is essentially the CB Unicorn 160 with a brand-new styling and a name that was first seen in Honda’s big bike range. The Hornet is powered by the same 162.7-cc single-cylinder motor that serves the Unicorn, but it has been tuned to deliver higher power and torque. It produces 15.88 PS and 14.76 Nm of torque which makes it the most powerful bike in its segment. Following the segment trend, the Hornet features a wide 140 section rear tyre and trendy styling.
