Geo brand was the department of General Motors and it was controlled by Chevrolet. Geo is the result of collaboration with Suzuki and Toyota Japanese companies in the 80-ies.
Geo department made inexpensive compact cars: subcompact Metro (Suzuki Swift) in the sedan and coupe versions, the Prizm model of golf class (Toyota Corolla), Storm coupe (Isuzu Impulse) and Tracker offroadster (Suzuki Sidekick).
In 1997, Geo department was liquidated. From 1997-1999, the Metro and Tracker models have continued to produce as Chevrolet brand.
