Hafei Motor Company takes leading positions among automakers in China. A key field of concern is release of small cars.

Hafei Motor was founded in 1994 as subsidiary of Harbian Avia Corporation. The company was created at support of foreign investors at the amount of 550 mlns. dollars. Later Hafei became entirely government-controlled.

Production space of the company reaches 1.5 million square kilometers, and more than 400 of them are given under the cars production. Two conveyor assembly lines, welding and body painting shop and finished product assembly line of finished products are on asset sheets of Hafei. Annual production capacity is 400 thousands of cars and 550 thousands of engines.

The Hafei logo, made in the form of the shield, shows the waves of the Songhua River. The river, which emptied into the Amur, seemed to be special for company - here located the city of Harbin, the birthplace of Hafei.

The Hafei company has advanced research and design infrastructure. Due to high-skillful personnel the company consistently produces vehicles that conforms international standards, as well as preparing for the active promotion to foreign markets.

In addition, Hafei works closely with well-known foreign companies. Thus, among regular partners of automaker was noted Pininfarina studio.

At Italian designers' assistance Hafei has already released several cars. They differ with an alloy of traditional Chinese preference with the best Western design. Hafei Motors produces not only its own design, but power units under the license from Mitsubishi company.

Currently, Hafei has developed and implemented more than 100 models in different price segments and sizes. The company focuses primarily on compact cars with engines of a small volume. Now the model range includes seven brands of cars. Three of them are available on the Russian market - Brio hatchback, Simbo minivan and Princip sedan.
