Another new car arriving this summer is the facelifted Mazda6, which features a more powerful 181bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine at the top-of-the-range, which is up 8bhp compared to before. Out go the previous entry-level SE and SE Nav models, and in come new SE-L Nav+, SE-L Lux Nav+, Sport Nav+ and GT Sport Nav+ trim levels. Visually, the new 6 can be identified by a bolder front grille, revised LED headlights and bumpers front and rear, while saloon versions feature a re-profiled boot lid. There’s new alloy wheel designs and a brighter and deeper Soul Red Crystal paint, as well as interior changes, including an upgrade in the material quality, a larger eight-inch touchscreen, a digital display between the instruments and a bigger head-up display. Under the skin there’s revised suspension tuning, larger front dampers and revised steering for sharper driving behaviour. As before, the 6 is available as a four-door saloon and five-door Tourer estate, with prices starting at £25,445 for the SE-L Nav+ 2.2 diesel 148bhp saloon and rising to £32,795 for the GT Sport Nav+ 2.2 diesel 181bhp Tourer in automatic transmission guise.
